I went to the annual Footwear Friends Designer Awards at the Geffreye Museum a few weeks ago.

Footwear Friends is a charity which provides financial assistance to people who have worked in the Shoe Trade but have fallen on hard times. They are the only charity dedicated solely to the support of those have served the footwear industry, whether in design, manufacture, distribution, retail or repair.

Alex Finlay made a really inspirational speech about how she set up her company Fins.

I'm in need of black dresses like this so I can show off my shoes. This one's from Stretsis, who, fyi, have an amazing spring summer collection that I saw and nearly died.

I really want a sequin top, I know I'm a bit behind on the trend, but am just recovering from a sequin number I wore to a party when I was fifteen, which made me look like a whale in the photos. I need to banish that photo somehow. This one is made by Joveeba...

You may have seen the CLEO B poster in Gloucester Road last month…..it’s not confirmed…but there’s talk of more posters for Spring Summer which I’m excited about!!!!!!!!

It’s all thanks to Art Below and a man called Ben Moore who the Guardian online have written about this week. Here’s a quote from the article which I’m pretty keen on:

Last week I had my lucky friends over to my pad so they could make pre-orders on the Spring Summer 2010 CLEO B shoes…..I can’t believe we didn’t get a photo of the cupcakes (made by Rosebud, of course). They were almost too pretty to eat…..or photograph it seems.

Tess Daly wore CLEO Bs whilst presenting Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday 24th October! The eye catching black and gold Glossys were chosen by Tess to go with a stunning pink and black strapless long dress on Saturday night! The simple lines of her dress and her sparkly gold belt went perfectly with the shoes. My signature Autumn Winter ‘09 gold flourish adornment peeped out under the hem of the dress and glistened all night! Tess flaunted the shoes exquisitely with a high kick upon her entrance, Bruce loved it!!!
