Cleo B interviewed by Prescott & Mackay
August 27, 2009
Prescott & Mackay, the school of fashion and accessories design, have published an interview with myself about my journey so far into shoedom. Read it on their blog. They have previously interviewed Finnish shoe designer Aki Choklat, who is also a lecturer at the school, find this further down the blog. Prescott and Mackay offers a range of short courses in shoe design, bag making, belt making, corsetry and tutu making (cute!) to suit all abilities. The classes are held within Black Truffle, a fab boutique on Warren Street, but they also arrange some courses for shoe enthusiasts in San Francisco. So, if you have an urge to learn more about accessory making Prescott & Mackay is the perfect place to begin your mission. The tuition is top quality and you’ll find yourself in a friendly and relaxed environment below a fashion boutique (an added plus!). Visit Prescott & Mackay website here.
Happy Bank Hols,

The stylish pink and black ‘Yobi’ (which has been handpicked by some of fashion’s finest as their favourite style from AW09!) is a perfect day or evening shoe. Before I launched Cleo B, I found that there was a certain type of shoe missing from my wardrobe – a really unique and good quality flat that I could wear in the evening if I was planning on walking/taking the tube. Luckily I now have my Cleo B flats so I’m sorted! They are also great for work and meetings - they are a good balance between stylish / comfortable / smart. The simple design of Yobi combined with the eye-catching pink means that they can make the statement – they look great with a simple LBD and opaque tights or just with jeans and and a plain t-shirt or jacket.
Out of the entire colleciton I have worn Saxony the most – I adore them. The combination of the lustruous black patent with teal suede and gold snake looks vaguely Egyptian and even though these shoes are for winter, they look great with tanned skin. Saxony are designed to wear with simple chic feminine outfits.
Berrypecker – simplicity rules this style. It is a unique version of a simple black stiletto with glistening patent running over the toe and down the heel. Its the perfect shoe for when you are wearing a loud outfit – it’s impressive in its own right but will never clash with your dress!
